RCW 120, also catalogued as SH2-3 and GUM 58, is an emission nebula and HII region in the constellation of Scorpio. It is located approx. 4,300 Light years from Earth. The nebula is a bubble of gas and dust formed around an “O” type star, the most massive stellar giants known to exist.
This image has been processed as SHO, using Ha as an additional luminance frame. Stacking, chanel combination and Blur Exterminator using Pixinsight, final processing with Affinity, Star Exterminator and Topaz De-Noise.
