      IC 443

Drifting 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Gemini, the Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) is the glowing remnant of a massive star that exploded thousands of years ago. Its delicate tendrils of gas and dust are the shockwaves still racing through space — blue filaments rich in oxygen, golden ones in sulfur and hydrogen. This intricate web marks the aftermath of a cosmic cataclysm, where destruction and creation intertwine as new stars may one day emerge from the expanding debris.
