✨ The Leo Triplet — A Cosmic Dance of Galaxies ✨

This image captures the Leo Triplet, a famous group of interacting galaxies located in the constellation Leo, roughly 35 million light-years away. The trio is composed of M65 (NGC 3623), M66 (NGC 3627), and NGC 3628, each revealing a different face of galactic evolution shaped by gravity and time.

🔹 M65 (top right) is a relatively calm spiral galaxy, with tightly wound arms and a smooth, ordered structure.

🔹 M66 (bottom right) tells a more turbulent story: distorted spiral arms and intense star-forming regions betray past gravitational interactions with its neighbors.

🔹 NGC 3628 (left), often called the Hamburger Galaxy, is seen edge-on. Its prominent dark dust lane slices through the disk, while faint tidal streams extend into space — silent evidence of ongoing galactic encounters.

Surrounding the trio is a deep field rich with distant background galaxies, each a remote island universe scattered across the cosmic sea.
