The Lambda Centauri Complex
This narrowband (SHO) approach of the Lambda Centauri Complex (IC 2944) maps ionized sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen to reveal the chemical architecture of this marvelous object, 6,500 light-years away. The gold and blue tones highlight the intense radiation zones framing the nebula.
