Comet C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) is a long-period, potentially naked-eye comet from the Oort cloud making its closest approach to Earth on April 26, 2026 (0.49 AU). It passed perihelion (closest to Sun) around April 19-20, 2026, and is best observed low in the eastern sky before sunrise in mid-late April
