M 20 _ TRIFID NEBULA
The Trifid Nebula (M20) is visible in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius. It is approximately 5,200 light-years away from our planet. It is one of the youngest known star-forming regions, with an estimated age of only 300,000 years. It extends approximately 40 light-years into space.
