This is a slightly cropped version from the original widefield frame of the F/3.6 TAKAHASHI FSQ 106ED and the huge sensor of the FLI PL16083 of SPA-1 of Telescope Live. The signal of the Ha was very strong but the Sii was quite weak and the Oiii even weaker (I had to toss a number of unusable frames). Uning PixInsight, after experimenting with several RGB combinations of the Ha, Oii and Sii datasets, I decided to use the Sii data to enrich the very week Oiii data on the Green Channel, while using the Ha as Red and the Oiii for Blue. I find the colors of the end result visually pleasant, (even if not quite the same with the natural RGB colors), and I think that they provide good visual support of the structural details and nebulosity of the area.
