NGC 3372 (Pane 1) HRGB

NGC 3372 (Eta Carinae Nebula) is a large bright nebula that surrounds the giant variable star Eta Carinae.

The dataset consist of 2 set of frames with several different acquisition times. This is pane 1 that contains Eta Carinae.

The Ha subset was used as Luminance layer in the final composition in Affinity Photo 2.

The subset of shorter 10s and 60s had been processed separately with very light stretching to try to highlight the Homunculus nebula around Eta Carinae (that appears saturated in the longer exposure frames) and merged into the longer exposure image.
