Fighting Dragons of Ara

I’m in the wrong hemisphere to shoot this gorgeous DSO so I was elated to find a solid dataset from Telescope Live to process. I used PixInsight to create the image using the SHO palette. My workflow included LinearFit, GHS, ColourMask, SetiAstro’s NB to RGB Star Combination, BlurX, NoiseX, StarX, and a few other basic processes. I used several masks to focus changes on specific areas, such as the blue around the dragons themselves. It was a fun project. I hope to shoot this target myself sometime in the future. What a pretty part of the sky!
