The Southern Tadpole Nebula (GUM37) is an emission nebula located in the southern constellation of Carina, less than 10,000 light-years away from Earth. The golden “egg” located top-centre is called a photo-evaporating globule, a remnant of the molecular cloud from which the star cluster (NGC 3572) formed but held in place by the stellar forces.
