Messier 105 or NGC 3379, is an elliptical galaxy in Leo that lies 36.6 Million light years distant from the Sun. Two other relatively bright galaxies are seen near by forming a visual triplet. NGC 3384 a bared lenticular galaxy and NGC 3389 an S shaped spiral galaxy. NGC 3384 lies 35.1 Million light years distant and NGC 3389 is in background at 71.7 million light years. Visually this will make a 3 in view to telescopes of 10 inches or larger under appropriately dark skies.
