Trifid Nebula

The Trifid Nebula (M20) is a star forming HII region found in the constellation of Sagittarius. This image was produced from The Pro LRGB dataset. A young stellar object appears to be in formation at the center of this nebula being fueled by the three gaseous protrusions seen in the image. The Trifid nebula is surrounded by a blue reflection nebula and has a visual magnitude of about 6.3.
