NGC 1977
NGC 1977 is a beautiful nebula close to the well known M42 Orion nebula. it is located at a distance of about 1500 light years from Earth and is a region of intense star formation. The delicate colors reflect the composition of the different parts of the cloud, a mix of emission and reflection from gas and dust.
