Center of Orion Nebula with the Trapezium Star Cluster

The Trapezium star cluster is named after the asterism formed by its four brightest stars. More than a dozen additional stars can be seen around the four bright stars in this image. Most of the cluster stars, however, are hidden by dense dust in this region of Orion and can only be seen using infrared imaging techniques.
