M8 a.k.a Lagoon Nebula
M8 a.k.a Lagoon Nebula, Gum 72, NGC 6523, Sharpless 25, RCW 146, or Gum 72 an emission nebula and HII region in Sagittarius ~4k-6k ly away with
dimensions 110 by 50 ly. One of only two star-forming nebulae faintly visible to the eye.
SHO 1h 30m (6x300s each) from CHI-2 telescope, an ASA 500N with FLI PL 16803 camera and Astrodon filters, part of telescope.live network. Taken on 10-12 Apr 2022.
