NGC 1097

LRGB image. Single One-Click dataset. L: 3 x 300s, R: 3 x 300s, G: 3 x 300s, B: 3 x 300s. This is my favourite southern hemisphere galaxy. It has a curious ring-like core and faintly visible are two jets emanating from the core at the 10 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions. And all this with just effectively a one-hour exposure! Looking forward to seeing more data on this one!
