This is an image of NGC 1316 and NGC 1317, NGC 1316 is the large galaxy at the bottom and is also known as Fornax A. It is a lenticular galaxy about 60 million light years away in the constellation Fornax. It appears to be interaction with NGC 1317 , the small spiral galaxy to the north.
