NGC 1499 is an emission nebula located in Perseus at a distance of ~1,000 light-years. The bright blue star that gives this nebula its glow is Xi Persei. We processed this image utilizing the Foraxx Palette Utility script in PixInsight by Paul Hancock. Really made this image glow with color!
