NGC 1672, a barred spiral galaxy in Dorado ~51 Mly away. Part of the Dorado Group of galaxies. The classification of its nucleus is uncertain at the moment, with its spectrum appearing intermediary between the usual three classes of galaxy nuclei.
LRGB 10h 40m (4x16x600s) taken from CHI-1 Telescope, a Planewave CDK24 with FLI PL 9000 camera and Astrodon 2nd GEN LRGB filters, situated in the Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile. Part of the telescope.live network. Taken on Feb-April 2022.
