Eta Carina Nebula

The Eta Carina Nebula, also designated NGC 3372, lies at an approximate distance of 8500 light years from Earth and spans a diameter of about 70 parsecs. Composed of both bright and dark nebulae, this vast interstellar nursery is the location of massive amounts of star formation.
