GUM37|Southern Tadpole (SHO)

Not far from the Carina Nebula and the Statue of Liberty Nebula lies the Southern Tadpole Nebula (GUM37). The small bright orange oval object (center top) in amongst the open star cluster NGC 3572 is called a Photo-evaporating globule, said to be a remnant of the molecular cloud from which the stars of the star cluster were formed.
