NGC 5128- Centaurus A Galaxy

Centaurus A is one of the brightest galaxies in our sky, but barely clears the horizon at my home in the northern hemisphere. It contains a supermassive black hole that ejects huge jets of material. Not visible in this RGB image, the jets can be seen in radio observations.

This image is from 2 one-click observations of the CHI-1 scope. I found it to be an excellent target for putting to use new skills learned in Adam Block's tutorial on NGC 2835.

Hopefully the weather will allow me to get even more data soon.
