Great Globular Cluster in Hercules SPA-2 LRGB
The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, also known as M 13, lies at a distance from Earth of 22,200 light-years in the constellation Hercules and is approximately 145 light-years in diameter. It is populated by many red giant stars and newly formed "blue stragglers". The cluster contains several hundred thousand stars. The stars are so closely packed, they sometimes collide with each other and produce new stars.
