SH2-9 (Sharpless 9)

SH2-9 is a combination emission and reflection nebula surrounding the multiple star system Sigma Scorpii. It is also known as Gum 65. When I first started processing this image, I was afraid that Sigma Scorpii would just blow out the image, however the reflection nebula surrounding the star system mitigates its brightness. The emission nebula part of the image has very nice structure and good details....but I had to push it.
