NGC 3358 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Vela, approximately 63 million light-years from Earth. It features a well-defined central bar and symmetrical spiral arms, characteristic of an SB(s)c galaxy. NGC 3358 shows active star formation along its arms and contains dust lanes and bright star-forming regions. Its structure and relative isolation make it an interesting subject for studying the morphology and evolution of barred spiral galaxies.
