the trifid nebula
The trifid nebula is an HII region and stellar nursery found in Sagittarius. It has reflective, emission, and absorption features, making the trifid nebula unique among other nebulae. Here it is featured in LRGB with the stars reduced to make the details more visible. Software used: astro pixel processor, pixinsight, rc-astro tools, and photoshop.
